I went to D.C. this weekend [to attend the Restoring Honor Rally hosted by Glenn Beck] and Glenn Beck is 100% correct, we so need to find our way back to God. I thought this was a given, so I have concentrated on the politics to ensure we still had the opportunity to always worship and work for God. Some things are just factual: the only way the Tea Party will become a force in politics is to get candidates elected. That is the bottom line in politics, can you get your candidate elected? If you prove you can get candidates elected you can call the shots like the AFL-CIO, teacher's union, Acorn, George Soros, etc. Washington has no reason to give power to anyone who, in their eyes, cannot not get the job done. This is why we need to get involved and work for CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATES, send money to important races, phone bank from home, go door-to-door. This guy says it all, the way it needs to be said.

Anyone can disagree on policy; but, when you [referring to Obama] have to continually denigrate another person [referring to Obama continually blaming President Bush for the problems of the current administration] to justify your ideas and policies then that speaks volumes about you . President Bush made some serious mistakes but it is hard for even opponents to make the charge that he was not a good person with a good heart [response to President Bush greeting soldiers at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport]. He at least had the character to stand up for what he believed to be right or wrong and never blamed anyone when his policies did not have the effect originally intended.

WE DID NOT LOSE!
We stopped universal healthcare. They had to make deals to bribe their fellow legislators for votes for their supposedly fantastic bill. These deals will become public and be another nail in their coffin. The few positive items in the bill could have been accomplished with bi-partisanship support. The bigger picture in this catastrophe is that the American people were ignored and shunned. They now will forge ahead with Cap and Tax. We must persist and push for a veto-proof majority.

With a concerted effort, WE have the power to stop all the anti-Christian garbage out there.
How many endorsements did Tiger lose??? All Christians have to do, and should do, is organize and have committees that watch the shows and people that have anti-Christian material. Send the [show’s] sponsors names and phone numbers to the congregation and make calls to the sponsors complaining and promising to never use their products again. A few thousand calls and we stop all of this anti-Christians garbage and get our heritage back.
They no longer have a forum to influence our children and they lose their power. Christians need to stop complaining and do what it takes to defend our Christian beliefs in the public square, in the media, and where ever we find it. I truly believe GOD is testing us to see if we treasure what He has provided for us: freedom to worship Him, a Christian country, to fight for it, to stand up and honor Him by our actions, to defend Him and let everyone know why we are doing it.

I do not understand why anyone thought the Republicans would get it. They have indoctrinated the electorate that you cannot go Independent. If you cannot go Independent and you are adamantly opposed to the Liberals where are you going to go?
The powers that be in the Republican Party are not going to capitulate to the Tea Party Patriots or anyone else, they don't have to. We will only have the candidates they deem appropriate for the benefit of the PARTY. It is all about the PARTY, first and foremost. That is not going to change because of the movement, where are we going to go?
The sad commentary is that the opportunity is at hand to change the system. The majority of the electorate are Independent, because they are disgusted with the political parties. If the organizers of the different factions combined their efforts to organize the precincts by Independents and engaged the independents to be active we would have a better opportunity to effect change. The consensus seems to be that the only route to take is to take over the Republican party I wish that would be effective, but I doubt the success of that plan.

I always find it astonishing how often when I am thinking about ways to enrich and engage our members that I receive a message like this [forwarded email].
Today as I was driving from appointment to appointment, I was thinking of the economy and the hardship it has caused families. I thought I would like to find a way for us to help each other when we can. I know first hand the devastation it has caused members of my family that have been unemployed for over a year.
We list businesses on our website that support us [CIC group]. I would like for everyone that owns a business, has a service to offer, or works individually to email me all their information and I will forward it to my contact list and they can forward it to theirs. This procedure is called net working and smart business people use this method to enhance their business. We can use it to help each other. People who are involved with the movement need support so they can work at Tea Parties, pass out flyers, door-to-door, etc.

I have spoken many times about the political system and the need to work for independent candidates. Many ASSUMED I was advocating an independent party. That would be great; but, I am advocating an independent mind set. Independent thinking from the sheep mentality of loyalty to the party instead of loyalty to our country. This was a great pick by Kasich (Mary Taylor for Lt. Governor). I have met Mary Taylor and she is very qualified for the position of Lt. Governor. She is a certified CPA and is an independent thinker. I believe she will make judgments on principle, not on party affiliations. I have not heard any complaints about her performance as Auditor of Ohio. I think Kasich will make a good Governor also. He appears to be a conservative from his appearances on Fox News prior to announcing his run for Governor. We have to be careful, but we have to change the situation we find ourselves in now. If we work and elect only conservatives this year, maybe all politicians will get the message?

The following schedule is made possible by the graciousness and generosity of James Lagos, the owner of the Bushnell building we meet in every month. Jim is a local Attorney and a Patriot. The meetings for all the events posted yesterday are as follows, and for all meetings in general:

This (Obama's administration) is an example of the system that has been put into place by generations of politicians. We need to attack the system. Electing new players into a broken system does not serve our country or us.
The system: the two parties support candidates that will adhere to their system and agenda that they have put in place. Thus, limiting our choices. Solution: Independent candidates supported by the citizens whenever possible.
The system has been geared to insure that incumbents have a huge advantage for re-election by using our tax money for earmarks in bills to buy the votes of their constituents. Earmarks are used as a bargaining chip between congressmen to achieve each other's re-election. Eliminate all earmarks completely. The federal government should be working for the good of the whole country; therefore, helping their districts also. The states should be taking over the states issues, like education.
The system ensures a life time of comfort and high paying job opportunities for congressmen/women. Congressmen/ women should work, if re-elected, twenty years and retire at a percentage, maybe a tenth, of their congressional wage and not with the benefits afforded in congress, which are extravagant and need to be reevaluated. Congressmen/women should not, by law, be allowed to receive any benefits from any source except their congressional wage. If they are found to have accepted anything from any other source, it should mean immediate expulsion from their public office and charges of ethics violations and ban from public office in any form in the future.
I know you are very aware of the above issues, I just wish that the TEA PARTY movement would not fall into the trap of the system.
The Republican Party did not forge an outcry until we did. They did not stand up and fight, we did. They did not organize a revolt to prevent the destruction of our country, we did. The Republican party will use our movement to gain power for themselves and work the SYSTEM as usual.
If we do not GO ROGUE we will have the same ole, same ole, just with different players; and, our grandchildren will fight this battle at a later date.

I certainly hope as we come to the end of this historical year that you realize that a Miracle occurred this year.
I do not recall the American people having such an effect on the government, outside of just voting. If the TEA PARTY movement had not taken place we would now have government run healthcare. We all played a part in accomplishing that and we should all take pride in our accomplishments. I hope you understand the magnitude of this accomplishment and forge forward in the New Year with renewed energies.
We can do this. We can take our country back and repair the damage done so our children and grandchildren will have a free and liberated country to enjoy for another 230+ years. - Do we want to try to take over the Republican Party?
- Do we want to be non-partisan and support conservatives?
- Do we want to go completely Independent and support Independent, conservative candidates hoping they will not be loyal to a given party, but to the American People?
I think this is your decision, not mine. I encourage everyone to attend the mettings when these people speak.

Now, we have the White House blackmailing Congress. The EPA can now determine carbon emissions and bypass Congress. I am a realtor with 25 years experience. It saddens me to see what the government's policies have done to my real estate clients. Eventually, you or your heirs will have to sell your home, the largest investment of your life. I have experienced the ramifications of the government's intervention into the real estate market and it has caused so much harm to home owners. The real estate market was prosperous and good with the regulation of the lenders - less foreclosures and more home ownership - before the involvement of the government.
There isn't a part of your life that this administration and their comrades in congress are not going to control if things don't start to change now. Your involvement is imperative to stop these radical policies and take back our country. I am afraid that emails to each other are only going to inform, but if we don't take action then we will be co-conspirators in their actions.

accomplish a goal (success of the Pack-It-In project for the troops). We doubled our goal. Judy MaClean is commended for a fantastic job. She spent a lot of time and trips to the Post Office to figure out how to fill out the forms and fill the boxes correctly. WE came together to achieve a goal and many people put forth a lot of effort especially Kevin Miller, Jason Stevens, Keith Garvin.

CIC members,
We had a very successful project with Pack-It-In [sending much-needed items to the troops]. The community and CIC members contributed enough items to fill 102 boxes and pay for postage.
We are planning on a repeat of this project in the spring. The troops receive a lot of things at Holiday time; but, not so much in the summer. They need special items to deal with the heat. We would like to incorporate the Wounded Warrior project.
We learned a lot with this project.

Every Congressperson that spoke [in Washington, DC], approximately 30, pleaded with those present to go home and tell everyone to call the Blue Dog Democrats. PLEASE, go to www.coalitionofindependentcitizens.org and there is a list of their names and phone numbers [Action Items>Call To Action (Please Call These Blue-Dogs Democrats, NOW!)]. Tell them you will send money to their opponents and call their constituents from cell phones if they vote for healthcare. The South is important. . .did my part.

We are going to receive many opinions and ideas on what is happening to our country. I feel I must give you information I receive. This does not mean I endorse the information; or, that I have investigated (no time) the information. I feel that you are intelligent, prudent citizens that can investigate on your own any information you receive. Personally, I do believe we are in peril and there is more danger ahead than we can conceive at this time. I believe that if we do not get involved and act we will lose the country we know. This is appeasement at its worse (holocost). This is what not getting involved in politics creates. Think it could never happen again? Did you ever think you would see what you are witnessing today? There are more citizens who are not involved in the movement than are; and, more who do not want to be bothered. Thus, the few who are involved have to do more to make for those not involved. We could get a lot more done if everyone pitched in!

Every medical device you will need in the future; hip, knee, pacemaker, braces will be taxed! Medicare payments drastically cut to the doctors. Less doctors will take Medicare patients because it [reimbursement by Medicare] is beneath their costs to treat that patient.

I am sending this (Stella Awards: CIC>Articles>Opinion) for several reasons:
1. This is too over the top not to send.
2. This is why our costs are so high on everything. Corporations pass every cost to consumers so their stockholders are happy and will buy more stock and keep the corporations in business.
3. When educated, articulate, professional Americans get out of their jury duty someone else has to take that seat. Maybe they (the person replacing the one who got out of jury duty) don't have a job because? Maybe they need the money?
4. We have accepted our mistakes in not being politically active and therefore we are trying to rectify that situation, but it goes to every aspect of our lives and we need to be aware of that.

Evidently the Republicans did not see the Tea Parties or the Town Hall meetings. They evidently are under the false assumption that we have no place to go, but to their party and their candidates. [regarding not supporting Doug Hoffman as a Conservative not running on a GOP ticket]

We have standards and priciples that are more important than any party or candidate. If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything. That is not us! We are the America that is proud and we are not going to sell out for a seat in government. PLEASE call Congreesman Pence and support him [for not supporting GOP candidate Dede Scozzafava] and call the RNC or email and let them know you are here and they better be listening.

Winter is very hard on our troops. . .remember the hand and feet warmers. Our goal is 50 boxes. May I suggest shopping at the Dollar Store and Ollies. We are planning a fun packing party, hoping families will attend and the young ones will experience helping their troops. I do hope you will attend. We will need a lot of help. If you are concerned and scared about the path the government is on, it is up to you to do everything in your power to stop it before it is to late and there will be absolutely nothing you can do accept watch the fall out. Our only recourse is to make the Bluedog Democrats believe you will see that they lose their next election by telling them you will financially support their opponents and call their constituents (cell phones).

Obama evidently is ready to sign a Treaty with most of the other countries that will not be reversible, regardless of a new administration. We are now obligated by Treaties signed and ratified by congress decades ago.

Please move forward with calls. Scott from Austria's office will be speaking and taking questions. He wants to meet the group and inform us about some things about electing candidates. We are gaining recognition and when they know us and what we are willing to do we will have clout with elected officials. We really need a lot of people there please stress this, so they know we are many and will be able to help or hinder elections.
We are an important State and Clark county was very important in the 2004 election and we need to be important in all elections so we will always have great influence on elected candidates. This is important for the group, not me. I hope some from the group will run for local office. I hope we become a force to be reckoned with and we can very easily influence elected officials.

Professional politicians know that the staying power of any opposition group wanes, because they do not have the heart for the continual fight. We have to continue the fight, there is just too much at stake. Don't let up...take this to heart, send to everyone you know and make the call. Washington is beginning to think we are complacent...let them know we will not stand for takover of healthare, and energy. If you can do nothing more than to keep calling the Senators and Representatives, that is as important as anything else.

I was so very proud of our members last night (10/5), they came and they spoke. We had about 20+ members attend the Forum and 6 asked questions, stating they were members of the Coalition of Independent Citizens. Ross McGregor, the State Representative, was there and it was suggested by the host of the Forum that Jason talk to him. Jason said, "no, thank you, I don't agree with him on some issues." Ross' face was brick red. I bet they are calling around to find out who we are and what we are up to. We would be glad to tell them and we will on the phone, at their doors, and at the ballot box. In a town the size of Springfield news travels fast. WE will have an impact, since we have more ACTIVIST members than the political parties.
My impression of the Forum was that Dan Martin is the only conservative on the commission. I know Dan and he is a conservative. We need to work to re-elect him and show the Liberal candidates that we have muscle. Then, they will listen and know our POWER. I will go door to door and do phone work for him. I would appreciate any help you can give. We can do this. Dan is very short on funds. The other candidates have more money; but, we need to let them know they cannot buy the election.
Call me to volunteer for Dan. He usually goes out on his own.

Ok, enough is enough. Every Christian should have a sign and be active to stop this stuff (not putting up any reference to Christ like nativity scenes, etc.) or the next step will be to remove the churches’ tax exemption. We allowed government to slowly erode our freedoms and liberties while we slept. Well, we are awake and we better put a stop to this or Christians will be banned from worship anywhere. Think it can’t happen? How many other things did you think couldn’t happen that are happening?

I could bite nails. I wish that we Christians would stop this (not allowing the word Christmas to be used) by returning to church, giving homemade gifts at Christmas, volunteering at soup kitchens, and stop creating a shopping holiday all in the name of Christmas. That would put a stop to this craziness and get back to the real meaning of Christmas, the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. It’s called killing two birds with one stone. There, I feel better. But, not much though!

Why I do what I do? It’s what I learned trying to help the Republican Party elect candidates. The people in power at the local levels and up feel it is beneath them to work in the trenches. They want volunteers to do that. After the election, they want you to come to their fund raisers and dinners at $50 a head; and, by all means, don’t offer an opinion or suggestion, even good ones. They were not interested in what the people had to say when we called them, they just wanted number of calls. I told Senator DeWine that I was getting negative feedback for him. His response, “Let them have the other guy for 25 years.” He was not interested in what his constituents had to say and he lost, giving us a liberal senator to work with Obama to change the country.
Blackwell came to town for a fund raiser at a $100 a person. There were four of us making calls for him and we were not even told he was coming. I raised hell and the volunteers got to go to the dinner for free. They (volunteers) were so enthused after seeing him, that they did much better on the phones promoting his candidacy. I wanted to start a volunteer club so there would always be people available to work campaigns to elect conservatives and I was not allowed to do it. I wanted to get volunteers together in May of 2008 so we would be ready to go when we were needed. I was never called to do that or work for McCain until McCain’s national people came in. This is why we stay independent and organized. If we can get 200 workers or more for a campaign, we will have a lot of clout and we will be heard. We can do everything that it takes to win a campaign. The candidates will know how and who got them elected; and, we will be heard.
Isn’t this what we want? We can have it. Look at what two young people accomplished. They brought ACORN into the sunshine and they (ACORN) are not going to be counting us (census); and, maybe, not getting our money.

With all due respect, it was two young, innovative, and concerned citizens that achieved the feat of getting ACORN out of the census and the possible defunding of that organization. I don't see where the republicans contributed to that in the past 10 years. You have the power to do it now because of their actions, not yours. You knew they (ACORN) were there when you were in power, like the democrats now, and you did not make an issue of it and try to stop it with aggressive action. Fifty-four million dollars later, we find out from news media not our representatives.
This is why politicians are not respected.

Great meeting Monday night with Scott Corbitt from Steve Austria’s office. A good exchange of complaints and ideas.
Our next meeting is Tuesday, September 29, 6:30 PM in the Bushnell Building, Lower Level.
We are on the move! Everyone wants to get it done. We are going to train for door-to-door canvassing with packets of information on who we are, what we stand for, why we are doing what we are doing, what we want from our elected officials, our website with links for information, information on government programs and their failure.
On Saturday, October 3, we are going door-to-door and expand our group, hopefully, and educate the public. Scott informed us that Austria had 35 workers in 2006. We can become a force to be reckoned with. . .that, is called a SPECIAL INTEREST group! That has a great deal of influence with elected officials. . .like ACORN or SEIU.
Please join us in our political activities to take back our country.

The Republicans have found their back bone to speak up, because of the movement. Joe Wilson spoke up because of the Town Hall meetings he had just experienced. People who had no place to express themselves have their own revolution. We have just touched the tip of the Iceberg. Washington D.C. was an experience; it was great that so many showed up. I don't know how many were there, the projections are all over the map. Everyone was enthused and polite. I can't remember the last time I was this tired. We have our work cut out for us. House bill 176 is coming up and we need to call our State Representatives and put a stop to this idiocy. Please go to Glen Beck's website (also posted on the CIC website: videos>news) and look for his interview with Horowitz. Horowitz was a communist radical in the sixties. He knows these radicals and their agenda and how they are going to seize more and more power. His comments (in the videos) were very intriguing and very informative. I think this man has the answer to win the war and it makes so much sense. I hope you see what I saw in his comments.
He said to defeat the radical democrats you expose their hypocrisy. The republicans have allowed them to get away with this for 100 years, so we need to expose both parties. The democrats have used the poor, minorities, women, and the working poor to expand their agenda. Every district where they have held power for 100 years has not improved in education, poverty levels, or living conditions. Why haven't republicans exposed this hypocrisy in political debates by simply asking, “Why haven't the cities you have had power in for 100 years improved when, in fact, most of the cities have gotten worse?” Why haven't the republicans used this against the left? I think they want the power just as much as the democrats. The problems of the inner cities, poverty and poorly educated minorities are all the fault of the liberals. We could expose them. Horowitz’s suggestion to the TEA PARTIES is to ask the pertinent questions the republicans won't. The underdog is always a good issue and we could be of service and maybe make a difference in their lives.

Just simply say this is what I want from the elected officials. What a great, simple way to strike up a peaceful conversation giving you an opportunity to engage another person for our group, not pushing it just gently inviting. Try it, you may be surprised.
(Referring to the "I Pledge to Serve Our President" video: videos>news): Take their names, boycott their movies, all their products, and call the people who hire them to market their products. We can play their game better. Email this to your whole list and ask them to do the same, this is one of the battles.
The war is between the Progressive Liberals and the Traditional Conservatives and the country will win or lose it's our call.

Indoctrination! I was watching my grandchildren while they were watching “Nick Junior.” The show was all about living and being green. I could NOT believe my ears! It was PURE indoctrination. It is happening in the schools. They are taking our children’s minds and using them to further their cause. We have to organize and fight. This is serious.

You have a website, please use it. There is a lot of information on the site. My nephew in Florida is building the site with a program he is learning and he has done a great job. My sister is the administrator and she will post (almost) anything you want on the site. My sister's son has some free time and he has his own web design company and he is going to do more work on the site. He has a great logo and I used a Reagan quote for our motto. He is also going to do face book and twitter for us.

There are some things in life that are factual and you have to deal with them. We are headed for an internal war for our country. This is just fact. I am not inferring guns and swords; this is ideology, Socialism or Capitalism. The powers that be are now using everything they have to discredit us and demoralize us. We are their worse nightmare; we can't be bought or paid off. How are they going to defeat us when they have to have our votes to stay in power?
Every one of us has a choice to make at this time. What is our individual role going to be in this war? I think we need to seriously ponder this and make some very hard decisions. There are many groups that are fighting the battles; but, we must win the war. Being informed and educated on the issues is a good thing. Then, what do we do with the information? Do we email it to our contacts or do we engage and fight?
